It's Monday What are You Reading?

So, it has been a few weeks since I have participated in this meme. There has been no reason except that I have found myself so busy. It's Monday What are you Reading is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

I have read some great books this past week. The best book I read was The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Her story is an amazing story about cells, science and her family. The book was incredible and shocking. I was amazed that I had never even heard a hint of the story before reading the book.

I also read The Heirloom Life Gardener. With spring around the corner this is the perfect book to read if you are thinking of starting a garden.

I also read Reader's Digest The Perfect Kitten. Cute, sweet and with lots of great advice for introducing a kitten or cat to your home.

In my car, I finished The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.

How is that for a week of diverse reading. What are you reading?

I think the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks will be one of our book group books in the near future. It sounds fascinating. You can check out my Monday here

You've read some great books. The Heirloom Gardener isn't one I've heard of but it sounds lovely. I have The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks on my TBR mountain ... one of these days LOL

Have a great week and happy reading :)

I've not read the Henrietta Lacks book but there were a few news features about this poor woman and her cells in the papers recently! Fascinating and a little depressing stuff!

Oh I've set aside the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for now (ahem!LOL!) and am now reading A Cat Called Bob! LOL! Take care

Are you thinking of adding a new kitty to your home? We have 3, and I want to get a "ragdoll", but I have one cat who would be super jealous, and my lap usually has 2 cats on it now, so we may have to wait...LOL

Good to hear you enjoyed Henrietta Lacks so much. I've got a copy of the book but haven't read it yet. It's high on my list, though.

Have a good week!

I've read the complete series of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and I found it to be spellbinding! I couldn't wait to read the next of the series. I've seen both the European and American version. A series of books that I thought were wonderful.

I just finished Clara's Way ~ One's Girl's Story of Survival a memoir by Clara Kramer. Inspiring book about the human spirit and what it takes to survive during the Nazis invasion of Poland!

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is on my wishlist.

My favorite read this week was the audio version of Shutter Island. Please come see what else I'm reading.

That is incredibly diversified! I have seen The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks in the science section of the book store but haven't been inclined to read it until now.

Hope you will pop by my IMM:)

I have read " the Immortal Life--" and found it fascinating. Your other choices are intriguing as well. I've downloaded the "Hornets Nest" movie- actually the whole trilogy- for us to watch on upcoming travels.

I hope things are not quite so busy for you now. I sure wish I could slow down a bit!
