In all my years of going to Paris I had never been there when it snowed. Paris under a blanket of snow is a beautiful sight. In December of 2010 that changed. During the time I was in Paris it was freezing. Unbelievably cold. It was all anyone talked about. I was constantly bundled up. I did not care that I was not a fashion queen. I donned my down filled parka and ski cap that came down low over my ears.
On Saturday morning the snow started falling. I was on Rue Moufftard when the first flakes started to fall. My first thought was that I need to go to some of my favourite parks to take some photos. I started my trek to the Jardins Luxembourg. Along the way I spotted this fountain. It was frozen just like me.
I could not believe this people practicing Tai Chi in the park. Their movements were so slow. How were they staying warm?
These dogs were not bothered by the snow. Quite the contrary they were having a ball rolling about. I could only wish I had a coat as thick as theirs.
Dreaming of France is hosted by Paulita at An Accidental Blog. What a perfect post for the last day of the year. I am always dreaming of Paris.
Cooking is one of my passions in life. Enjoying good food, pastries, chocolate and everything the French have to savor is my other. This should come as a surprise given my father chose my name after reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
I am a voracious reader and collector of cookbooks. Little did I know that all my grade school French lessons would come in handy one day.
